The 70 years anniversary of the International Law Commission is being celebrated on the 5th and 6th of July, through a solemn meeting at “Palais des Nations” in Geneva.

The event consists of a solemn part and a meeting with Legal Advisers and other international law experts focusing on practical matters concerning the Commission and its cooperation with Member States in the progressive development of international law and its codification.

The commemorative events is accompanied by an exhibit, examining the achievements of the International Law Commission in the progressive development of international law and its codification, placing its work in historical context.
